Instalare

  1. Install the plugin from Plugins Add New (or upload the telegram-bot folder to /wp-content/plugins/) and activate it.
  2. Create a bot with @BotFather and copy its token.
  3. Go to Telegram Settings, paste the token and save: the WebHook is configured automatically.
  4. To broadcast to a channel, add your bot as an administrator of the channel and enter its @username in the settings.
  5. Publish a post, or use Telegram Broadcast to send a custom message.

How do I create a Telegram bot?

Open @BotFather in Telegram, send /newbot and follow the instructions. You will receive the token to paste in the plugin settings. More info in the official documentation.

How do users subscribe?

Users subscribe by starting your bot (/start). Groups are registered when the bot is added to them. Channel members are managed by Telegram itself: the bot only needs to be an administrator of the channel.

Is SSL required?

Yes. Telegram only delivers WebHooks to HTTPS URLs, so your site must use a valid SSL certificate. Sending messages works anyway, but the bot can’t receive messages without HTTPS (e.g. on localhost).

My bot doesn’t answer. What can I check?

Make sure your site is reachable over HTTPS, then check Telegram Dashboard and the log for errors. Caching or firewall plugins may block the WebHook endpoint: in that case exclude the WebHook endpoint shown in Telegram Settings from cache and firewall rules.

How do I enable Zapier integration?

Enable Zapier in the plugin settings and follow the invite link to set up your Zaps.

Can I send messages from my own code?

Yes. A few examples:

telegram_sendmessage_channel( 'Message for the channel' );

Custom keyboards can be built with telegram_build_reply_markup() and passed as third parameter of telegram_sendmessage().

Which hooks are available?

Actions: telegram_parse, telegram_parse_location, telegram_parse_photo, telegram_parse_document, telegram_send_post_before, telegram_send_post.
Filters: telegram_get_reply_markup_filter, telegram_subscribers_register_capabilities, telegram_groups_register_capabilities.

Example: reply to a custom command.

Плагин был изгнан с английского wordpressa выдаче в версии 3.6.3 в файле guetebberg.js был спрятан адрес дополнительной отправки логина получателя "вкусняшки" которую настраивали на сайте. что еще не могу найти и ИИ видит что вставлены коды, а отправку перехватить ума не хватает. Так что вы, как минимум поможете автору плагина собрать базу русских пользователей.

As I wrote, version 3.6 20220927 breaks the entrance to the admin panel: Causes an error: "[27-Sep-2022 19:07:27 UTC] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/m/……../………/public_html/wp-content/plugins/telegram-bot/panel/send.php:67) in /home/m/………./………/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 1424" Incorrect operation of the php script. The problem was caused by the presence of BOM characters in one or more script files on my site

Nice Plugin, but problems with other plugin

Nice plugin, easy to use and easy to configure. For someone the functions won't be enough, but for a little Wordpress-Page perfectly good. The bot function with automatic replies is perfect. But I stopped using because of problems with the plugin Einsatzverwaltung. The telegram message was posted two times all the time.

The plugin does not work in places!

2+ Star for the fact that the plugin exists and in some places it performs its functions, for which I am grateful to the author since I did not find such a plugin 3- Minus for the fact that the author of the plugin does not help solve problems and is not responsible! The functions that are stated do not work! There are no updates and no support
