GDPR
The Newsletter Plugin provides all the technical tools needed to achieve GDPR compliancy and we’re continuously working to improve them and to give support even for specific use cases.
The plugin does not collect users’ own subscribers data, nor it has any access to those data: hence, we are not a data processor, so a data processing agreement is not needed.
Anyway if you configure the plugin to use external services (usually an external mail delivery service) you should check with that service if some sort of agreement is required.

Overall this is a nice package. I've been able to do what I need so far with my single small (400) list. I do find the newsletter edit function to be pretty clunky though and wish that some / all of:
word wrap in edit windows
resizable edit windows
auto-resizing message to fit window
existed. It's quite tedious to have to scroll across to get to the edit button and then when you do a bunch of editing, you better remember to click "Apply" before clicking the "Save" button or all is lost! The preview views also seem pretty useless and inaccurate in my experience. But there is a lot of potential here. I hope they keep working at it!

I run a small website and have recently been forced to leave MailChimp because of their revised charging structure. As I send less than 2000 newsletters I could not justify paying £31 a month. The basic newsletter plugin meets my needs, and I find it easier to make the newsletter than with MailChimp's new interface. It was very easy to set up and import subscribers from the downloaded MailChimp file. Thank you.

Update: Issue resolved. An update was finally issued which now makes this plugin compatible with the latest version of Woocommerce's HPOS functionality. Review rating has been revised to reflect thist development.
I have been trying to work with the vendor for over two months to let them know that this plugin is incompatible with the Woocommerce HPOS which will be mandatory for users in version 8.2, but has been going nowhere. It seems like I am reinventing the wheel with every communication. Do not upgrade to the WooCommerce paid version that is advertised here. It will be a door weight once version 8.2 is released.

I'm sure technically it can do all I need, but the UI/UX in both de WP admin, default transactional emails and the newsletter-builder are feel 10 years old.It's nowhere near (what are supposed to be the competitors) of Mailchimp, Mailerlite etc.Which is a bummer, because I really hoped to be using a newsletter-builder with my own mailer/SMTP service. This is just not workable for me and my clients.With proper UI/UX designers, I'm sure this could easily be a 4 or even 5 star plugin.

I love the plugin, but support is not very good. I asked for help with what I though was a simple thing: change the color of the "subscribe to our newsletter" text on the WooCommerce checkout page. I also asked if there was a way to put a similar checkbox on the order confirmation/thanks page. After several exchanges where they basically referred me to other plugins and never answered my question about the text color, they told me that they didn't support that kind of customization. Way below the level of service that I've gotten from other plugin developers. I felt like I was being brushed off. I'm not going to change to a different newsletter plugin because the basic features are great, but IMHO support is lacking.
